Leonor

Madeira

CrossFit L2 Coach

Leonor Madeira holds a degree in Anthropology from the Higher Institute of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Lisbon, where she studied between 1994 and 1998. Fascinated by behavioral sciences, she specialized in primatology, a field in which she participated in various research projects during her undergraduate and postgraduate studies. The rigour and impartiality of the scientific method marked her career and continue to be reflected in the way she seeks knowledge that contributes to the quality of what she does.

Her relationship with movement spans different disciplines, from Swimming and Artistic Swimming, Ballet and Contemporary Dance, Sailing, Karate, and Kickboxing, to CrossFit, Weightlifting, and Jiu-Jitsu. It was after feeling tired of commercial gyms that she sought new approaches and found in CrossFit a new way of understanding training.

With 22 years of experience as a coach, she currently dedicates herself mainly to Sport and Exercise Psychology, a field she studied at the Faculty of Human Kinetics of the University of Lisbon. In human movement, she explores observation, the deconstruction of the complex, and the integration and creativity of the educational process.

In CrossFit, she found a demanding, rigorous, and honest methodology, where there is room for the creativity of interested, responsible, and committed coaches. At the Box, she also discovered fertile ground for promoting healthier lifestyles. Her approach is marked by a clear determination: not to give up on anyone she knows is capable of being and doing better. Resilient, focused, and non-conformist, she seeks to contribute through knowledge, observation, and movement.
